The structure is visible from all parts of the city. In the evenings, the tower is being lit up in the colors of the National Flag of Romania.

Sometimes, the tower changes its colors to commemorate different holidays, events, or international days..[1]

During the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, the tower was illuminated into the colors of the Ukrainian Flag, in solidarity to the neighbouring nation[2]
