Beaker & Flask was established in 2022 by Elliott Welker, with the vision of creating a space that would cater to both wine connoisseurs and those new to wine appreciation. The establishment sought to differentiate itself through its expansive selection, knowledgeable staff, and welcoming atmosphere. It is located in Alachua, Florida's San Felasco Tech City.

Awards and Recognition[edit]

Beaker & Flask was honored with Wine Spectator's 2023 Award of Excellence and a Two-Star distinction by the Fine Wine Awards Star Awards 2023, recognizing the wine bar for its exceptional wine list. The award celebrates the establishment’s selection, which is noted for its breadth, depth, and presentation.

The wine list at Beaker & Flask is led by Melody Wilson, Operations Partner & Beverage Director, and features a wide range of international wines, with a focus on both classic vintages and innovative new producers. The wine bar's emphasis on variety is evident in its offerings by the glass, half-bottle, and larger formats, as well as its commitment to maintaining a balance of styles and price points.
