The Battle of Nigunsarai was fought when in the morning Bengal army was moving towards Katwa, Marathas in higher numbers suddenly attacked them and started cutting their resources, Alivardi khan despatched Mushahib Khan who died fighting Marathas. Marathas achieved a decisive victory against Bengal army.[2]
