David John Carr (4 August 1943 – 12 July 2011) was a British keyboardist and composer.
Carr joined The Fortunes in 1963, and performed on their first hit songs, including "You've Got Your Troubles" and "Here It Comes Again". He left the band in 1968, and relocated to Hollywood, Los Angeles in 1971. He worked with the instrumental group The Ventures,[1] and was a member of the band from 1972 to 1978. He worked as a studio arranger for the band up until his death.[2] Carr worked with Kim Fowley as well, and the two co-produced the album "Beauty's Only Skin Deep" for Cherie Currie. He later opened a recording studio in Burbank, California.[citation needed]
Carr died in California on 12 July 2011, aged 67.[citation needed]
