Current?[edit]

Why limit to current? I suggest former and unofficial as subcategories. jnestorius(talk) 13:43, 5 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Paralympic?[edit]

Would it be appropriate to list athletes who are world record holders within their disability classification? There's a specific category for world record holders in Paralympiic swimming - not so track and field. So here, create at new category, or nowhere. No, exist paralympic athletics (athletics (sport) for paralympic), we need Category:World record holders in paralympic athletics. Let's go. ;-) --Kasper2006 (talk) 16:20, 19 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Category:World record holders in Paralympic athletics is alive and populated :-) - I went systematically through the list of IPC world records in athletics (version on the International Paralympic Committee website) and added everyone who had a page here. A lot of the record holders articles are truly awful, only one or two sentences :-( Quickly improved a few of them on the fly, but getting even good stubs (vs appalling bad stubs) for everyone would be a lot of work.
