Internal pages: Something like: [2][3]). Such pages are not fluff, but can be good places to find recruits for the project, possibly including subject-matter experts, especially if cross-referenced to the project. Also, Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Cue sports (cf. [4][5][6]).
Create timelines, both textual and graphical. See link for various guidelines and examples. We need an overall one for cue sports generally, and more specific ones as we drill down into more specific topics (timeline of nine-ball, timeline of Willie Mosconi's career, etc.).
Form sections: Exhibition game needs section on cue sports; could later form a new article with "Main article..." xref to it. What other general articles need cue sports sections?
Images: improve articles with images from commons; create pics and add them to commons as GFDL/CC-by/PD.
Add: {{Sport overview}} to main articles of cue games that are real sports; medal table tags where they apply (see Ding Junhui for example).
Insert: Cue sports events (tournament results, etc.) into the "year in sports" categories (e.g. 1965 in sports), using {{subst:Cue sports heading}} if that year doesn't have one yet.

I am utterly confused about the description of this page. How is a "trick shot competition pro" different from a "player of artistic pool"? Artistic pool tournaments, by definition, would be a competition, and there are payouts, so competitors can consider themselves professional. Further, there are players who completely specialize in trick shots and do not enter other cue sport competitions, so the opening paragraph needs clarification. --15:06, 15 August 2008 (UTC)Techin (talk)
It says it quite clearly: "Players of artistic billiards or artistic pool; these should be in their own subcategories under this category and the appropriate Category:Cue sports players category (carom and pool, respectively)". So far no specialists in either discipline have articles here. If they do, they'd go in a category for such players. There are all sorts of trick shot competitions (Trick Shot Magic, etc.) that have nothing to do with the established, regulated programs of either artistic pool or artistic billiards. Many trick shot artists (W. C. Fields, etc.) pre-date both disciplines, and should not be listed under them. Someone like Mike Masseyshould be listed here and under Category:Players of artistic pool (when there are enough player articles that would go under that category to justify the category's creation), since he is notable for both strict artistic pool and free-style trick shot demonstrations and competitons. — SMcCandlish [talk] [cont] ‹(-¿-)› 22:58, 12 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
