Michael Brimer and Bruce Martin were both highly respected musicians while they were in South Africa and are greatly missed having set high standards of professionalism. They are both greatly missed. They gave regular recitals while they were associated with the University of Natal. Amongst other major works Michael performed the seldom played marathon Piano Concerto by Busoni in the major centres of South Africa.
