Category name is in conflict with some of its contents[edit]

Oamaru and Port Chalmers are not cities and never have been, despite having populations far in excess of what many U.S. cities have.

Other countries have categories with names starting "Port cities and towns...". To keep Oamaru and Port Chalmers, this category should be renamed accordingly. That would, of course, open the floodgates: Paremata, Kakanui, Taieri Mouth, ... .

But what is notable about a port city (or town) (or village)? If it has a port, mariners can visit it and presumably get some shelter, no matter what size or government the locality's urban area (if any) has. We have Category:Ports and harbours of New Zealand‎, which includes at least one uninhabited area. Maybe this category is a waste of space?
