Inclusion criteria[edit]

This seems like one of those categories that should only have a very small number of articles placed in it directly (not in a subcategory), but I put Waka (poetry) in nonetheless. My reasoning is that waka essentially covers all of noteworthy Japanese poetry up until the late Muromachi period, and was considered the highest form of literary expression up until ... probably Mori Ōgai's time. It is therefore a key topic in Japanese literature. But some of the other entries are far too specific... elvenscout742 (talk) 01:00, 28 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
