Rename?[edit]

It might be more appropriate to rename this category "Automobiles in fiction", or something like that, since many of these automobiles actually exist, as automobile collectors who pay huge sums of money to drive them away can attest to. On the other hand, this category shouldn't contain a Honda Civic just because it appears in a random movie [1], and maybe "Automobiles in fiction" doesn't capture that. Also, if someone CFR'd this, they'd have to CFR Category:Fictional vehicles too, and all of its children at the same time, and that's a lot of work... --Interiot 02:22, 13 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • I hadn't noticed this ambiguity before, but someone's just removed a car from this category for the reason you mentioned. I've added a clear description, but I'll propose renaming these categories as well. Pufnstuf 19:34, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

Perhaps all of the Transformer universe entries should be removed as those are not technically automobiles, but Robots in Disguise.Sturmovik (talk) 18:09, 31 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
