The Monomamine reuptake inhibitor category includes the SSRIs, SNRIs, etc., because serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine are all monoamines.--Rmky87 03:23, 23 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect. MAO is not "monoamine," it is "monoamine oxidase." MAO inhibitors are an entirely different category from SSRIs and SNRIs, and in fact combining an MAO inhibitor with medications from the other two categories can have fatal results. 156.111.146.59 (talk) 22:47, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
