Borran District (Persian: بخش بران) is in Aslan Duz County, Ardabil province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Borran-e Olya,[2] whose population at the 2016 National Census was 1,508 people in 451 households.[3]

In 2017, Aslan Duz District was separated from Parsabad County in the establishment of Aslan Duz County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with Aslan Duz as its capital and only city.[2] In 2023, the village of Borran-e Olya was elevated to the status of a city.[4]
