Anand Lal Shimpi

Anand Lal Shimpi was born June 26, 1982 to Indian and Iranian parents. He is currently CEO of the tech website AnandTech, which he started in 1997. He is a graduate of Enloe High School and North Carolina State University with a degree in Computer Engineering. AnandTech grew from a small GeoCities website in 1997 to a 50 million page view per month publication as of July 2005.

He has been featured in USA Today, 48 Hours, 20/20, Fortune Magazine and on G4. He was one of the keynote speakers at Computex 2003 as a celebrity speaker to entice show goers to return to Taiwan even in the wake of SARS.
