Abhiradesha

Abhiradesha, Abhiradesá,[1][full citation needed] Aberia, Abiria, Abhiria (IAST: आभीरदेश, अबीरिया, अभीरिया) was a region comprising southwestern Rajasthan and northeastern Sindh.[2][3] According to B. S. Suryawanshi, there were many Abhiradesha throughout history. It was firstly recorded in Western India.[4]

Etymology[edit]

It means 'the country of Ābhīras'.[4][5]
