- An NGO launched a pilot mine clearance project in the Bajaur Agency.[1]

- The Pakistan cricket team are not happy following their poor performance at the world cup which lead to them being knocked out in the first round. They fined for this poor performance.[2]

- Floods in Sindh province resulted in tens of thousands of people fleeing to relief camps and a food crisis - Badin District was the worst affected area.[3]

- President Pervez Musharraf at the UN General Assembly in New York said that Pakistan would be willing to send troops to Iraq.[4]
