The Faculty of Organisational Studies in Novo mesto is an independent faculty in Novo mesto. It was established in 2008 as part of a public-private partnership between the Institute for Management Excellence (IOM) and the Novo mesto University and Research Centre (which was later replaced by MONM) and started operating in the academic year 2009/2010.

In 2015, the Faculty of Organisational Studies in Novo mesto received an award from the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia for its efforts in the field of personal data protection.

The current Dean is Boris Bukovec.

Study[edit]

The study is carried out in a combined format. The teaching work is carried out according to a system of sequential delivery of courses. Each course starts with lectures, followed by group exercises and finally a knowledge test. The same sequence applies to all subjects. The organisation and delivery of part-time study is adapted to the possibilities and needs of the students. The combined format of study means a combination of contact meetings (physical) and distance learning (e-classrooms), which allows students to adapt and better balance their studies with their work, family and other commitments. In this context, we offer students information support and the possibility to obtain O365 licences.

The Faculty is involved in the Erasmus+ scheme, through which it carries out international exchanges of students and staff with contracting partners.

Study programmes[edit]

The Faculty offers one undergraduate and two postgraduate study programmes. The first level of the higher professional (VS) study programme Quality Management lasts three years (six semesters), after which the graduate obtains the professional title of Bachelor Organiser (VS). The second level of the postgraduate (Master's) study programme Quality Management lasts two years and is divided into four semesters, after which the graduate obtains the professional title of Master in Quality Management. The third level postgraduate programme (PhD) in Quality Management lasts three years and is divided into six semesters, after which the doctoral candidate obtains the degree of Doctor of Science.
