Summary

Description
English: The Salt Stone from Wareham Point The Salt Stone is an area of rock, isolated at high tide, off Wareham Point, where Frogmore Creek (on the left) joins the main Kingsbridge Estuary, which is between the rock and Lincombe Boat Yard beyond. The estuarine sediments here are noted for a very rich invertebrate fauna, and the Salt Stone is "one of the few British localities for the red alga Chondria coerulescens" (http://www.english-nature.org.uk/citation/citation_photo/1002041.pdf and http://www.southdevonaonb.org.uk/uploads/background_web.pdf ).
