Français : Prestation de serment du futur roi Léopold II de Belgique comme sénateur, Palais de la Nation (Bruxelles), le 9 avril 1853. — En vertu de l’article 58 de la Constitution, à l’âge de 18 ans, l’héritier présomptif du roi est de droit sénateur. Il n’a voix délibérative qu’à l’âge de 25 ans.
