English: Time course of drug plasma concentrations following administration of different extravasal formulations; t1/2 four hours:
  1. IR: Immediate relase oral
  2. DR: Delayed release (gastric resistant; lag-time 2 hours)
  3. CR: Controlled release (flip-flop PK; absorption slower than elimination)
  4. TDS: Transdermal system (zero-order input rate, lag-time 1 hour; patch removed after 12 hours)
Note that AUC∞ after all administrations are identical.
Deutsch: Plasmaspiegel nach Verabreichung verschiedener extravasaler Formulierungen; t1/2 vier Stunden:
  1. Schnell freisetzend
  2. Verzögert freisetzend (magensaftresistent; lag-time 2 Stunden)
  3. Verlangsamt freisetzend, retardiert (Flip-flop PK; Absorption langsamer als Elimination)
  4. Transdermales System (Absorption 0. Ordnung, lag-time 1 Stunde; Pflaster nach 12 Stunden entfernt)
