Title
English: "Islands of Heliesund and Hellisöe"
Norsk bokmål: «Hellisöe öi og Heliesund»
Description
No. III. A VIEW OF THE SCENERY WHICH THE ISLANDS OF HELLISÖE AND HELIESUND PRESENT, FORMING THE INNER HARBOUR.

The peculiar features which distinguish this View are not only bold and striking, but at the same time pleasing, and convey an idea of the rocks in the islands near the main land, particularly those in the centre of the picture, situated in Hellisöe ; their smooth round and bald heads, precipices and fragments, are generally picturesque, and form delightful objects for the pencil. The entrance of this harbour is about fifty yards wide, but contracts within so as to suflfer only one ship at a time to go through.

The fore-ground is part of the Island of Heliesund, which in itself is a most charming spot, furnished with a variety of objects, and commanding a beautiful view of the great harbour, and adjacent islands.
