Object history
Deutsch: Die silber-blauen Rauten weisen auf die Landesherrschaft der bayerischen Herzöge hin. Die Herkunft des Bärenkopfs bleibt unklar; möglicherweise sollte es wie im Wappen von Rain am Lech ursprünglich ein Löwenkopf, also eine Minderung des Pfälzer Löwen, sein. Das Wappen erscheint im Dreiecksschild schon im ältesten Siegel, das 1328 erstmals belegt, vermutlich aber schon im ausgehenden 13. Jahrhundert entstanden ist. Auf den Siegeln aus dem 14. und 15. Jahrhundert ähnelt die Bärenschnauze einem Vogelschnabel. In der Tingierung gab es einige Abweichungen (oben silbernes Feld, goldene Bärenkrone). Schrobenhausen wurde 1447 zur Stadt erhoben.
