Summary
DescriptionConformer over eye implant after enucleation.jpg |
English: Left eye with eyelid manually raised to show conformer in situ over eye implant. Taken 35 days post-enucleation surgery. The two holes for tears are visible. Pt. (male, 61) experienced a central arterial stroke resulting in central blindness in that eye, followed by glaucoma, with intransigent, debilitating supraorbital nerve pain post-implantation of Ahmed valve, deemed to have failed (possibly due to blood in eye). Pt. chose enucleation over other options. |
