English: The Leon Memorial headstone was installed to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Andrew Leon's death on 27 June 1920. His wife Mary died on 22 June 1922. Leon pioneered the Cairns area sugar industry with the Hap Wah plantation (1878-1886) and was a leader of Cairns early Chinese community from the 1870s into the 1890s. The Chinese writing translates as "Centenary anniversity of death, Cairns Chinese community leader and cane sugar industry pioneer"
