Ironclad warships of Austria-Hungary[edit]

The above good topic comprises the ironclads built by the Austrian and then Austro-Hungarian navies from the 1860s to the 1880s. Though it was decidedly second rate compared to other major European navies, the Austro-Hungarians assembled a powerful fleet of ironclads during the period and used it to defeat the numerically superior Italian fleet at the Battle of Lissa in 1866. This project was a joint effort; Sturmvogel 66 (talk · contribs) wrote the first few articles in the series (on the Drache class), I wrote the rest, and White Shadows (talk · contribs) came back from an extended wikibreak to help finish the main list, and we may take some of these articles to FA eventually - we'll see if we can turn it into an FT eventually. Thanks to those who take the time to review the topic. Parsecboy (talk) 19:57, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This seems comprehensive, and includes all the relevant classes and individual ships. A couple of queries on the topic box though. Shouldn't SMS Juan de Austria be SMS Don Juan d'Austria? And I suggest putting 1862 and 1875 after the Kaiser Max classes for clarity. When I first looked at it I thought it was a duplication until I remembered the supposed recycling. Also, the link for the second SMS Don Juan d'Austria goes to the list page rather than the 1875 ship page. Otherwise, looking good. Good catch on the Dons - apparently I had forgotten to update my sandbox after I renamed the articles. Parsecboy (talk) 13:13, 20 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
