How does this fit into the Anna Howard Shaw article?[edit]

Anna Bugge-Wicksell (nr 3 from left, bottom row) at a Suffrage Alliance Congress, London 1909

Couldn't find anything, but figured I should check with you. Smallbones(smalltalk) 02:53, 10 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It should read Anna Howard Shaw, not Anna Bugge-Wicksell in the caption. Probably a copy&paste error. So, that's Rev. Dr. Ann Shaw nr3 from the left on the bottom row. TommyG (talk) 06:47, 10 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Article Feedback deployment[edit]

Hey TommyG; I'm dropping you this note because you've used the article feedback tool in the last month or so. On Thursday and Friday the tool will be down for a major deployment; it should be up by Saturday, failing anything going wrong, and by Monday if something does :). Thanks, Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 23:16, 13 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. File:Douglas Bader.jpg[edit]

Hello. I reverted your change on the English Wikipedia Douglas Bader article since what shows up in the article is on the right, instead of your image. I have requested a name change of your image to avoid the issue. (Hohum @) 18:41, 28 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, right, thanks. Didn't notice that when I switched the image. TommyG (talk) 19:22, 28 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Removing references: uncool[edit]

Please be more careful when you edit. 89.8.165.47 (talk) 15:26, 30 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I removed what I perceived to be a unnecessarily big focus on a, in the big picture, relatively minor event. It's obviously unbalanced to spend as much text in the article about a 2021 news story as we do on the events and memorial itself. There simply is no need for it. Wikipedia is not a newspaper and this event deserves at best, a foot note. TommyG (talk) 21:20, 30 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Notice

The article Saddies: Attack!! has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable, tagged since May

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Yae4 (talk) 13:46, 3 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I can tell, my only contribution to this article was an automated edit after renaming a file on Wikimedia Commons, so not sure why you're telling me? Is it common practice to notify all contributors on a an an article about proposed deletions? TommyG (talk) 14:26, 3 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@TommyG: See these instructions step 5, which does not define "significant contributors". So the last several non-bot editors who did something other than tag with criticism or speedy delete were notified. -- Yae4 (talk) 19:27, 3 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Yae4: Right, I see. Thanks. Not very familiar with procedures on en:wp. TommyG (talk) 11:12, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Did you even read the edit summary?[edit]

An IP changed the birth date of Gunilla Bergström, but only two of three occurrences. I asked to have it consistent in the article, and with a source. I didn't say a date was better than another, just asked for consistency. Can you please change all those dates, and have a ref? -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:00, 4 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

No, an established user, without a user page made that edit. I can understand how the third occurrence could be missed, as the date of death is normally only mentioned in the intro to the article and in the infobox. But, I'll make sure to update the third occurrence as well. TommyG (talk

Disambiguation link notification for April 19[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Nordkisa, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Viken. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
