Ultra-liberalism is a phrase used to describe political thought on the left of the United States Democratic Party.
In French or in Spanish, the term is sometimes used to refer to strong believers in laissez-faire capitalism, and could be considered equivalent to the American use of the term libertarian, with a strong pejorative tone.
