Completely unrelated if not off topic, but hey should we add about Charles's ancestries to his personal life section, the "DNA Test" video (click it here) that is uploaded from Charle's channel shows his ancestries from various countries and continents and such, taken from 23andMe, just asking you know what do you guys think? I put it in, but you may have to change it Cali Boy 09 (talk) 19:58, 5 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Soulbust: The Youtube videos are not appropriate sources. The video which is used to source his claim of having OCD doesn't even say that he was diagnosed with OCD. Also per WP:ABOUTSELF, "the material is neither unduly self-serving nor an exceptional claim;" and there is no way of determining whether this is true. We can't tell if this is sensationalised, exaggerated or outright made up for whatever reason. I'm aware that influencers have used illnesses to gain attention or sympathy. I don't understand why you reverted without first discussing as it's quite obvious that restoring the content is incorrect. Willbb234 23:04, 3 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Willbb234: I suppose that's true that that some influencers can use illnesses to gain attention or sympathy, though Charlie already had ample attention prior to the video being posted. I don't believe I added that source, so I didn't check through the video to see if it did indeed cite that information. But saying one has OCD checks both the "neither unduly self-serving" and the "nor an exceptional claim" boxes. Not sure what else you want in that regard. Imo it's a non-issue either way as that info isn't really something necessary to include in or so pointless as to exclude from the article. And because of that, don't think it needed a whole talk page discussion on the matter; also because, again, WP:ABOUTSELF allows for such sourcing to be used for such information. If the sourcing doesn't cite the issue, that is a different matter, and that's my bad for not checking through it completely. If you want to take it to the talk page discussion, that's obviously fair but tbh I just don't have the energy to discuss if Charlie having OCD should be included in the article or not. Removal of the claim makes sense. Unless there’s RS highlighting any such medical disorders we might as well remove mention of it per WP:INDISCRIMINATE. Pabsoluterince (talk) 08:07, 4 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Charlie's second youtube channel, Moist Charlie Clips, should be added to the page. Chri421stian (talk) 19:54, 12 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Been thinking about adding that channel to the infobox, but you don't seem to elaborate your point. Could you make a proper counter-case against WP:ELMIN and WP:INFOBOXPURPOSE? Even if it's his livestream highlights channel I don't see it as exceptional compared to his main one. Carlinal (talk) 19:46, 3 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
He was also in AdventureQuest 3D. There was a whole questline, voiced stuff, an entire unique zone for him, etc…. 2600:1006:B08A:973F:78F4:997D:3AA3:785E (talk) 22:33, 4 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
