Mahua, gets pregnant and giving birth to two daughters, steals one from her father, Garjan Mishra. She steals the child from a woman selling it, and Aryan and Mahua separate, each taking one of their daughters.

5 years later[edit]

Mahua, is a school teacher in the village, raises her daughter Krishna, while Aryan is in love with Kajal while raising his daughter Gauri. Aryan decided to divorce Mahua to marry Kajal and live happily. Mahua refuses to sign the divorce papers, and Ammaji announces Aryan and Kajal's wedding in front of the villagers. While Mahua's aunt, Poonam fixes her marriage with Kishor. Aryan and Mahua reunited, but Aryan is killed by Ramesh. Mahua mistakenly goes to Pakistan, but with the help of Shoaib, she escapes and returns to India. After that she marries Captain Aditya Rathore. Padma is murdered, and Ramesh is arrested. Mahua helps Janaki, but Sukant Narayan tortures her. Mahua exposes Sukant's crimes, but he kills her by throwing her off from a under construction building.

16 years later[edit]

Durga, Krishna, and Gauri live in poverty due to Mrs. Narayan's deceitful theft of the Thakur family's ancestral house. Gauri falls in love with Jeet Narayan, but they get married. Gauri tries to win back Jeet but fails. She marries Sukant Narayan, Jeet's paternal uncle, to take revenge. Sukant kills himself but is sent to a mental asylum. Krishna discovers Sukant inherited the ancestral house from Mrs. Narayan. Gauri betrays Krishna, claiming she is Sukant's wife and orders her to leave. Jeet eventually falls in love with Krishna and realizes Gauri's evil, but shortly afterwards Krishna is shot and falls off a cliff and is presumed dead. With this we are introduced to Gopala, a young woman who suffers a heart attack during her wedding, at the same time as Krishna's attack. Gopala loses her memories and is left with Krishna's emotions, falling in love with Jeet and following him to the Nayaran residence, convinced that he is her husband. Jeet initially rejects her, still in mourning for Krishna, but after escaping from Gauri's traps with the help of Gopala, he decides to accept Gopala's love and take her as his wife. But Krishna is actually alive, being held captive by Ajju, Gopala's ex-fiance, who intends to carry out a coup against the Nayaran. When Ajju is arrested, Krishna manages to escape and return home, at the same time that Gopala would be welcomed as Jeet's wife by the Family. Due to Krishna's health being fragile, everyone hides the truth from her, and Jeet and the Nayaran are divided over who Jeet's wife really is. Jeet chooses to stay by Gopala's side and after some conflicting situations, Krishna discovers the truth and decides to leave home with his grandmother. But as soon as this happens, she discovers that Gopala has recovered his memory, and together with Ajju she is determined to take the Nayaran fortune and end Jeet's life. Krishna decides to take back the residence as the owner to protect Jeet from Gopala, and shortly afterwards he is shot in the head when he prevents Jeet from being killed by Gopala. In a coma, Krishna's spirit watches over Jeet, who realizes his love for Krishna, Gauri's redemption and Gopala's attempts to kill Jeet. Finally, Krishna manages to regain consciousness, just in time to prevent Gopala and Jeet's remarriage. With the help of a remorseful Gauri for her mistakes, Krishna manages to send Gopala to prison and decides to resume his marriage with Jeet. However, Gopala is revealed to be an heiress to a rich family, and even in prison, she manipulates her older brother Rudra to continue her revenge. Believing that Gopala was the victim of Krishna and Jeet's crimes, Rudra creates situations to incriminate the Nayaran, but they always end up failing because of Krishna. In yet another of his plans, Rudra kidnaps the Nayarans during Krishna and Jet's wedding ceremony, however without his knowledge, a bomb is planted at the place at the behest of Gopala and his wife arrives there to try to exact revenge on Rudra. In the midst of the chaos, Krishna and Rudra's wife are hit by the explosion, being seriously injured, but they only manage to survive. Believing once again that Krishna is to blame for his family's suffering, Rudra blackmails her and forces her to marry him in exchange for the Nayaran's safety, with the intention of constantly punishing her. Thus, Krishna marries Rudra and Jeet suffers from his abandonment, which renews Gauri's hopes of winning him back, just as Gopala becomes even more determined to see Krishna's suffering.

The series was announced on Dangal by Story Square Productions. Chahat Pandey and Arjit Taneja were signed as the lead. The show was released on 23 August 2021.[9]

Casting[edit]

Taneja quit the show in February 2022 as he was not happy with the growth of his character in the show and his role did not shape up the way he imagined.[10]

In March 2022 Avinash Mishra as Aryan is cast as the lead.[11] In February 2023, Avinash Mishra also quit the series, saying " My character had no scope left. My track had reached a saturation point. I felt there was nothing more that I could give to the show. My character had no growth and so I thought that it was best to move on."[12]
