The difference between Cyrillic "К" and Greek/Latin "K" is seen only in certain fonts. Same with "Л" and "Λ". Both Latin "K" and Greek "Λ" are perfectly legal shapes of the corresponding Cyrillic letters. They really have to be placed in the corresponding segments. Also, Cyrillic "у" and Latin "y" are identical in the lowercase (but not in the upper case, where they are "У" and "Y", respectively).
