( Picture is free for distribution to anyone anywhere. I am still the owner of this photo and I have given this photo to other to use. I own the original photo) --Eddie5000 (talk) 23:54, 10 May 2010 (UTC)

My apologies if it you took it. I hope you understand that it was suspicious, given that it is the first result in a Google Images search for "Selena Gomez". Will you please link to your original upload of the image? liquidlucktalk 02:10, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Claim of copyright at deviantart: [1], 5 June 2009. - SummerPhD (talk) 02:53, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

-Note: I claim the owner of the picture but allow it to be freely use on the WWW. --Eddie5000 (talk) 03:12, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I understand your claim to be the owner of the photo. However, we now have someone else claiming copyright on the photo. Can you please provide a link to your original upload of the image? - SummerPhD (talk) 03:34, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The image was used March 22, 2010 on http://wdwdailynews.com/celebs/selena-gomez-next-unicef-trip/ Hekerui (talk) 13:09, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's true, the deviantart version is even older. Hekerui (talk) 13:10, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Additionally, in an early version, the editor claimed, "Personal Taken by Photographer who gave me a release for this photo". In a later version, the author became "Eddie5000". Then it became "own work" (later reiterated]). It's entirely possible that Eddie5000 is simply misunderstanding the process and what various tags mean (there seems to be a language barrier at work). However, we need to clear this up one way or another. - SummerPhD (talk) 18:08, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The user had also uploaded File:Anniechung.jpg and used {{PD-self}} even though the image was taken from another website without any licensing information. The uploader claimed something like public display or website as permission (can't exactly remember and file has now been deleted). So yeah, probably a misunderstanding of copyright and that ownership is not just having a copy on one's harddrive. Hekerui (talk) 18:31, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Note: Other picture has no merit. I agree. But this picture is my own using my own camera and I allow it to be freely use by anyone on the web. I don' know what more to say. Eddie5000 (talk) 22:30, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well, from where I'm sitting, that pretty much seals it. Originally you said someone else took the photo, now you say you took the photo. Additionally, you still haven't answered our requests for a link to your original upload. - SummerPhD (talk) 00:30, 12 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • You want original link. Here it is: deviantart. Note: I never claimed photo was given to me. I am the owner. I only claimed it was given to me on another photo. Please get the fact straight before posting non-relevant fact on the web. REQUEST NOT TO DELETE THIS PHOTO Eddie5000 (talk) (UTC)
