Ireland in winning colours[edit]

Unless Ireland has also won a championship, there is an error in this map.

The above commenter is correct. The United Kingdom is Great Britain and Northern Ireland, therefore none of Ireland should be coloured as champions. The Republic of Ireland hasn't been part of the United Kingdom since at latest 1922, thus since the RLWC started in 1954, they shouldn't be coloured as champions. If you don't believe all of this see: United Kingdom, Great Britain and Republic of Ireland. 93.97.125.120 (talk) —Preceding undated comment was added at 12:54, 22 November 2008 (UTC).[reply]
I'm not sure of the exact answer, GB has morphed a bit over the years and has been referred to as a British Isles XIII and is operated by the RFL who have responsibility for GB and Ireland. If someone wants to take this debate further in the future please take it to the Rugby League World Cup talk page where more people will see it. According to both the Great Britain nrl team and Ireland nrl team pages, Ireland (other than Northern ireland) was not represented by the Great Britain side, although (as in cricket) Irish players were occasionally picked to compete for the GB team. As such, I'd agree that only NI should be coloured gold on the map. Grutness...wha? 23:51, 3 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Tasmania[edit]

Tasmania is a part of Australia so it should be coloured appropriately. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.240.250.166 (talk) 11:01, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

updates[edit]

please update this image with latest 2013 world cup. Sushilmishra (talk) 01:15, 30 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No point in doing that until the competition is complete, as we don't know yet which teams will improve their previous best. Grutness...wha? 23:54, 3 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
