License[edit]

This is either in the public domain, as the creator claims, or the GFDL, as the licensing information on the page claims. Which is it? Makaristos 23:04, 28 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The image creation page insists that if an image is self-made, it must be submitted under the GFDL. -- Gnetwerker 23:27, 28 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
So the logo itself is in the public domain but the image representation of it is GFDL. Marvy. Makaristos 05:56, 1 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Precisely whether the logo itself is copyrighted is probably subject to question, though its creation pre-dated the 1979 edit of the Berne convention that made anonymous works automatically copyrighted. If the Reed Student Senate were to assert copyright, we'd probably need to remove it. The image of it, in any case, is mine, and GFDL. -- Gnetwerker 08:05, 1 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
