Botswana[edit]

bots wanna does not have a declining population its due to cross over 2 million people by the end of the spring of this year 2010 WHEN THIS WAS MADE IT HAD A POPULATION OF 1.8 MILLION. NOW GRANTED THERES ALOT OF ELBO ROOM IN BOTSWANA BUT ITS STILL BECOMING MORE CROWDED AND NOT DECLING AS INDICATED ON THIS MAP. 99.51.212.6 (talk) 03:20, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed, Botswana should be coloured green, not purple. --Roentgenium111 (talk) 17:55, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

no actually colored light blue the population grew at 1.93% in the 2005 to 2006 period when this map was based on.. so niether purple or green.. green is for 2% or more this country grew at just under 2% 99.164.41.120 (talk) 17:09, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

japan[edit]

from 2009 to 2010 the population of Japan has a hugh decrese of nearly one million people casue japan has almost no major imigration and falling birth rates and a large elderly population. 99.51.212.6 (talk) 00:07, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

never mind this map is based on 2005 to 2006 data. perhaps a new map could be released in 2011 showing 2009 to 2010 data and showing japan as a population decliner. in terms of population density japan has a very high population density the majority of which live in the southern half of the country the northern half only has about 20 million people so its possible japan could sustain a population decrese and still be somewhat densly populated. i just cant hardly wait ill a some one up loads a new population grawth rate map for countries on here. 99.164.41.120 (talk) 17:14, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Moldavia[edit]

I saw moldavia had the fastest declining population growth , yet on the map it's blue? plz change it —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bezuidenhout (talkcontribs) 16:51, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

its been 2 years since you made the fact known yet the map has not been updated in any way. moldavia is still growing acording to the map on this article but the fact is the population is has been decling in 1989 the population was at peak of 4,337,592 in 2008 it was 3,957,900 in 2010 the US census bur. estimates that 4,317,483. it bounced back some but its still under what it was in 1989 at the peak. and this 2010 is a midlle year estimate so around summer of 2010 a few months from now. moldavia will still have been in a long decline or in another light it could be painted as stagnant growth just fluctuates a tiny but. IN 2011 next year however they think that moldavia will have 4,314,377. this figure is less than 2010. so it is offical the population is in a decline. it may bounce back but never grow larger then 1989. another think to note is that moldavia is basically like a giant suburb of the city of odessa much like Newjersey is a suburb split between Newyork city and philidelpia.and amongst all former soviet nations theres never really been any actual growth as far as anyone knows so this map showing moldavia as a pop. grower is totally wrong.
