Lines linking disconnected territories

It is not recognized at first sight that the straight lines (for example the one around the Baltic states) are used to link the different connected components of a country. Perhaps adding a caption about such lines, or omitting them completely could be useful.(Syats (talk) 19:34, 24 January 2011 (UTC)).

Yes, the map should be corrected.

Also, we don't have sources for Suriname [3], Syria, Turkmenistan, Cameroon, Swaziland, Vanuatu. Cameroon/Swaziland/Vanuatu are supported by contradictory lists (multiple, but based on each other) that include states known not to recognize SoP and/or not including states known to recognize SoP (such as recent example of Paraguay). Suriname/Syria/Turkmenistan/Cameroon are supported by a essay by some lawyer that makes a generalizing claim "All AL/OIC members recognize SoP" that is very dubious without any such statement by the AL/OIC themselves (as organizations they recongize SoP, but this doesn't mean that each individual member recognizes it). This generalizing claim was proven wrong by the 2011 Guyana recognition [4]. Alinor (talk) 23:21, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

Add Paraguay

Paraguay recognizes SoP since 2005. [5], [6], [7], [8]. The recent statement is just "reiteration". The map here was just wrong. Alinor (talk) 19:31, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

Other problems with this map

I doesn't list the Dominican Republic and it misses some non-resident delegations (but includes others). Also, there is the issue of displaying the delegations only for states that don't recognize SoP, but not for the others. Alinor (talk) 10:23, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
