MintPPC[edit]

I'm sure someone has the proper bash-fu to automatically crank out updates to this, so rather that trying to do this myself and most likely breaking the image, I'd just like to ask someone to add MintPPC as a fork of Mint Linux at October 2010. You could always download gnuclad, our current data sheets and insert your own data. Or you can submit your favourite distro over at GLDT, but please make sure to get the starting date down to the day and provable at that ;) - Donjan 84.75.163.228 (talk) 04:24, 9 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Liquid Lemur rebased[edit]

As you can read on the Liquid Lemur site, the distro has been rebased from Debian to Arch: http://liquidlemur.com/cms/aboutlemur

Red Hat Logo?[edit]

Jup, we don't have permission to distribute it. You can check the full images/COPYING in the gldt tarballs, not sure why the submitters on Wikipedia left it out, but here's the missing part:

The Red Hat Shadowman logo (not included per request below) is courtesy from and copyright (C) 2010 by Red Hat, Inc. A similar although not identical logo can be found on Wikipedia if you wish to rebuild the GLDT. Usage permission is granted: _______________________________________________________________________

You have Red Hat, Inc.'s permission to use our Shadowman logo and trademark in the attached form solely for the use shown in the document you have hyperlinked at http://futurist.se/gldt/gldt1004.png, that is, on a GNU/Linux pictorial timeline where the image is used adjacent to a point on the timeline that represents the beginning of the Red Hat Linux distribution. The logo must be approximately the same size as the Debian and Slackware logos you are also using.

I very much appreciate that you asked for permission. Please use the logo attached rather than the one that you currently have, since the one you are currently using is not quite correct (he has a stumpy neck). If Wikipedia requires further information or verification that Red Hat has granted you permission for this use, I will be happy to assist you.

Dear Mr. Rodic:

I apologize for the delay, my request for a logo got lost in our work queue. You will find an svg version attached. The display size of the logo you are using in the file attached is acceptable.

Please, though, do not make the svg version of the logo publicly available other than as part of the overall cladogram.
