Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum[edit]

The PETM was (probably) an extinction event for certain benthic taxa, but for most genera it was basically a non-event, and overall doesn't rise above background here. The earliest Eocene, following the PETM, is actually a period of significant radiation rather than one of extinction. Dragons flight 06:44, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
