Concerning the conflicting dates on this image: This photo was taken shortly after the STS-6 mission. Shuttle landed at Edwards AFB on April 9, and according to NASA's mission archives, was flown back to Kennedy on April 16. I am unsure where the April 18 date came from. See the STS-6 mission summary for details.
