It seems there could be trademark issues with the logo even though it has been established there are no copyright issues as it is a "plain text logo". Could be advisable to change back to the previous license arrangement (non-free logo) to avoid someone deleting it due to trademark infringements concerns.Pushbutton (talk) 08:26, 21 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Again U.S. law is on our side here, as long as the trademark is used for Commentary or Criticism it's fine to use (i.e. Use in Wikipedia Articles about the Subject). The warning is simply there to prevent a reader downloading it (because it's copyright free) and using it to market unofficial Butlins Items which would be a breach of copyright. What's actually quite silly is that "Butlin's" (The possesive) is not a registered TradeMark "BUTLINS" (the non-possesive) is [1] So we could even remove the Trademark Warning - but it's better to keep it for the above reason. Thanks, looks like hopefully the matter of what logo to use and copyright / trademark issues can be put to rest now then. By the way, are we sure Butlin's is not a registered trademark? If it isn't it quite possibly will be again very soon as Bourne Leisure re-introduce this logo. As you said, probably better to keep the trademark warning, and thanks for explaining it.203.113.238.134 (talk) 10:29, 21 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
