I agree. It is distracting, it offers no additional information, and when used in a table of results it is redundant with the colored row and the name in bold. Abjiklɐm (tɐlk) 13:39, 6 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The file (now on Commons anyway) is not going to be deleted. It was created as a PD symbol resembling the Republican Party logo. If you don't like the way it's used on various election results pages, you should probably discuss the matter there... AnonMoos (talk) 11:38, 9 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
