Theatrical release poster[edit]

Hello. Stop reverting Akhanda film poster this is the best theatrical release poster that days to go poster is not looking good tbh. Also you can check the current theatrical release poster is pinned by Dwaraka Creations on their Twitter handle. Hyderabadi (talk) 04:55, 2 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hyderabadi Pinned poster does not matter whatever appeals to Wikipedia the most is what matters. A lot of other articles have posters with the amount of days to go and editors tend to favor the portrait version of the poster for the film. Simply saying that "days to go does not look good" is not a valid argument or reason as to why the poster should be changed. Also Ab207 can you provide insight on this issue. SP013 (talk) 05:03, 2 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yes but the movie is released and the movie is not going to release after 6 days. Understand that. Hyderabadi (talk) 05:05, 2 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I meant the poster is good but it's not looking good because the film is not going to release after 6 days. I hope you understand. Hyderabadi (talk) 05:10, 2 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Hyderabadi: That is not a problem the release date is written clearly and evidently on the poster indicating that the film released on 2 December 2021 which automatically outweighs the 6 days to go problem. SP013 (talk) 05:31, 2 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Landscape poster is also not a problem there are lot of articles which are using landscape posters. Infact landscape posters are more than day count posters. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Hyderabadi (talk) 06:49, 2 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, SP013 and Hyderabadi. While there's no compulsion to use a portrait poster, they are usually a better fit for our long infoboxes and are preferred when available. The issue, as I understand, is the undue weightage given to non-essential material on the poster ie., "6 DAYS TO GO" in SP013's version and "AKHANDA MASS JATHARA" on Hyderabadi's version. My suggestion is to use the poster that says "RELEASING TODAY", which I think would be an acceptable solution for now. Cheers -- Ab207 (talk) 20:34, 2 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hey Ab207 I am fine with that poster but the only problem I see is that there was no release date on the poster which seems like it can be an issue for other editors but thats all really. SP013 (talk) 23:00, 2 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I think releasing today also consitutes as the "original theatrical release poster," it's just a suggestion nonetheless. -- Ab207 (talk) 06:33, 3 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ab207, "AKHANDA MASS JATHARA" is not non-essential material. It's the slogan of the film. Even "RELEASING TODAY" poster's caption has "#AkhandaMassJathara From Today In Theaters". So that is not unnecessary text but surely "6 days to go" is unnecessary text. SP013, you asked suggestion from Ab and even he told that "While there's no compulsion to use a portrait poster" and I totally agree with him. Also you (SP013) told that that is your last revert so don't revert again there is no sense to fight for this. That is the best theatrical release poster and that is real release poster because I have seen it in front of theatres and I haven't seen that day count poster in front of theatres. Hyderabadi (talk) 06:24, 4 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You see, the poster itself does not contain that slogan. "Releasing today" is plain, non-promotional and enyclopeadic than displaying a marketing campaign. -- Ab207 (talk) 17:46, 4 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hyderabadi I genuinely think you do not know how posters work. Just because the poster is not presented in front of a theater does not mean that it is not a valid poster. Like I have said earlier the reasoning you give are not proper reasons to change the poster. More or so they just seem like reasons that purely only suit your needs. Like Ab207 has said "While there's no compulsion to use a portrait poster" he also did state that "they are usually a better fit for our long infoboxes and are preferred when available." Now coming to the poster wise there are other versions we could use such as this one [1]. I just personally feel that the original poster had all of the main characters present with the release date and the landscape one is almost just unreadable other than the "Akhanda Mass Jathara". Speaking of that slogan that is almost not even present on any poster but that one so I feel like that argument is also invalid. SP013 (talk) 21:13, 4 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@SP013 and Ab207: I added a new theatrical release poster. It is the best poster. Also it doesn't have that text (Akhanda Mass Jathara). So I hope you don't have any objection with it. Hyderabadi (talk) 06:41, 6 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Fine with me. -- Ab207 (talk) 06:42, 6 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Fine with me also just resized it to fit Wiki standards however. SP013 (talk) 15:38, 6 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@SP013: this is not personal attack. Yesterday when I found this poster and just after uploaded it I told let the DatBot reduce it because it's complicated poster. And he will reduce it to the same size I know but his reduction will be less blurry. Just it was a matter of few hours but... Chill brother. Focus on other articles and files. He will reduce it on 8 December 2021 on 5:30 am IST. Please wait. Sorry and thanks. Hyderabadi (talk) 17:56, 7 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@SP013: we both got warning already of editing war. If we play this revert game again we both get ban for sure. Let's stop this here please. Otherwise we both get banned. Please, sorry and thanks. Hyderabadi (talk) 18:02, 7 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Hyderabadi and Ab207: Hyderabadi I am not engaging in an edit war anymore but the fact that you have been constantly targetting this single page for no reason baffles me. It literally seems like it is a personal attack whether you think it is or not and at the same time I only reduced it so that there would not be tags on the page and your reasoning literally makes no sense. A reduction in size is a reduction in size it does not change the quality of the image. I have been reducing file sizes and uploading images like this for close to 2 years Hyderabadi. With the files and every reason you have been giving is just unreasonable. This more or so only seems for your personal satisfaction and nothing else. Not once was an issue brought up about file size whatsoever with me but it seems like you are causing more of a problem than ever. You could have just stopped after the new poster was uploaded and a consensus was reached upon but yet you still decide to target with the constant reverts of the file size even after it was reduced to the size it should have been and no bot warning or tag has shown up until you decide to revert. This is purely unencyclopedic from your end and this is not the right way to proceed at all Hyderabadi this is just childish behavior from your end. SP013 (talk) 21:10, 7 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@SP013: Ok ok. I am not gonna edit this file anymore. I just wanted the poster to be less blurry. I found this poster by searching too many pages and you're not letting me to whatever I want to do. If you didn't revert, the bot would have reduced the poster by now. And you're thinking this is personal attack. Just see the page history I have told that "Let the DatBot reduce it." before you reduce the poster, so how this is personal attack? "Hyderabadi I am not engaging in an edit war anymore" -- SP013: reverting again and again is also edit war. Hmmm... anyways I am gonna focus on other articles. I am not gonna edit this file anymore. Maybe after some time. Hyderabadi (talk) 04:47, 8 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The current version I uploaded is better and less blurry compartively. It has been reduced by DatBot and uploaded by me. So obviously reduction credits goes to him. This time I didn't upload hd image, I have uploaded reduced version. So you should not have problem with it. This should be the last version of this file. No more reverts and no more fights. That's it. Hyderabadi (talk) 06:33, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This is the best poster. As of now this is not available on any website. I asked this poster directly from the official graphic designer of Akhanda (Dhani Aelay) on Gmail and he gave me. Hyderabadi (talk) 00:50, 31 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
