Key Issues[edit]

Can somebody help clarify the meaning of this map? It really makes no sense at all to me. It looks like a significant portion of Wikipedia's traffic comes from the Dominican Republic and the only place in the US traffic comes from is from around the New York area, there's no way this is right. Anybody care to clear this up? CyberCat (talk) 17:04, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This map is really confusing. First of all, what exactly is the definition of "top market?" This is definitely not something the layman knows and searches for the term don't turn up anything applicable. Since the photo is so small and the key cannot be read from the main page even if it was better explained, I suggest that it should be removed from the Wikipedia Wikipedia page.

Why is there a huge cluster of red dots around the Dominican Republic? The red dots seem entirely arbitrary. I really don't understand this map.

Looks like there are lot of rented servers there.Anwar (talk) 20:46, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bubble placement clarity[edit]

this map makes it look like that all of Wiikipedia's traffic comes from Ohio. -unsigned

-While this is a general problem with bubble maps such as this one, I think you can tell that that bubble is supposed to be centered on NYC.

No you idiot... the bubble is representative of the entire united states. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 210.50.98.178 (talk) 11:36, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

2008?[edit]

How can this reflect visitor stats for 2008 when the year isn't even half over? --D. Monack | talk 20:47, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Several Dots[edit]

There are several dots in some countries, and 1 for the US. What do the dots represent? --76.113.150.171 (talk) 00:16, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bad Map[edit]

this is a really bad map for a start how can he have collected this data when the year is not even out? Also I can't even count how many dots there are in central Europe and the Caribbean area.

This might just be me misinterpreting the graph but Japan has 10% the amount of visitors as the states but the source he gives says about 10% of visitors are from japan and roughly 25% are from the states. He also says about 100,000,000 come the US but the source he gives says about half that come every month. So even if i am just misinterpreting it that just shows that it is too hard to understand and that should go without saying anyway judging from the discussions here.

So basically change this rubbish map. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.158.131.15 (talk) 15:44, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
