Description

Each of the eight gargoyles on the tower and spire of West Park United Reformed Church, Harrogate, England, has a gargoyle chick carved on the capital below. They were carved by William Ingle, who was notable for this kind of lighthearted feature. The building was designed as West Park Congregational Church by Lockwood and Mawson, and completed in 1861-1862.

Note: some of the chicks are now headless.
