Description
English: American Motor Boat, Althea (1907) at anchor, probably in the Great Lakes area, prior to World War I. Acquired by the Navy for wartime service, this pleasure craft was commissioned as USS Althea (SP-218) on 12 May 1917. While awaiting sale, she sank on 18 March 1920 and was sold "in sunken condition" on 12 May 1920.
