English: Theo Wangemann photographed in Berlin 1890, while traveling Europe to make early recordings of music and voice with the first phonograph produced by Thomas Edison. The note in the corner reads, "To Mr. Thomas A. Edison / with greatest Esteem / devotion & friendship / Yours truly / A. Theo E. Wangemann / May 26th 1890"
