Source British Columbia Provincial Archives, Photo A-00664, identifies this photo as a postcard published circa 1912, photographer unknown, publisher of postcard not stated
Author Possibly F.A. Buchholz, chief steward of the Canadian Pacific Railway. See front cover illustration for Turner, Robert D, Sternwheelers and Steam Tugs -- An Illustrated History of the Canadian Pacific Railway's British Columbia Lake and River Service, at 7, Sono Nis Press, Victoria, BC 1984 ISBN 0-919203-15-9. It appears that the same photograph was used on the menus of the Bonnington and perhaps other vessels of the B.C. Lake and River Service of the C.P.R. See Turner, at 155, for an example menu with this photograph. This is consistent with a 1912 publication date for this image, as the vessel was placed in service in 1911 with a lot of publicity, including photographs, and taken out of service in 1931.
