Enw arall ar y gromlech yn lleol yw Cwt y Filiast neu Llety'r Filiast (adlais o'r hen draddodiadau sy'n cysylltu milgwn â siambrau claddu a chromlechi; roedd y milgi yn anifail pwysig ym mytholeg y Celtiaid). Fe'i gelwir yn 'Gromlech Rowen' weithiau hefyd. Credir fod y siambr yma yn dyddio o tua 3000 CC..
