foto reseña Camilo BallesterosLicenciado en Ciencias de la Actividad Física por la Universidad de Santiago de Chile (USACH) y alumno del Programa de Magíster en Gerencia y Políticas Públicas en esa misma casa de estudios superiores.

Fue presidente de la Federación de Estudiantes de la Universidad de Santiago (FEUSACH) durante el período 2010-2011, en el que también formó parte de la mesa ejecutiva de la Confederación Nacional de Estudiantes de Chile (CONFECH), transformándose en una importante figura en la movilización estudiantil de 2011.

Ballesteros terminó el período de su presidencia al mando de la FEUSACH proyectándose como una de las principales figuras del Partido Comunista (PC), organización de la que es militante.

En las elecciones municipales de 2012 se presentó como candidato a alcalde por la comuna de Estación Central, obteniendo una importante adhesión ciudadana.

Hoy asume con entusiasmo el desafío de encabezar la División de Organizaciones Sociales, y ratifica su compromiso de trabajar por el fortalecimiento de la sociedad civil y la profundización de la participación ciudadana, en el marco del Programa de Gobierno de la presidenta Michelle Bachelet.
