English: From St Paul's Cathedral. A cope created to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in 1977. It was worn by the Bishop of London during the Silver Jubilee celebrations, and has been worn again since including for the Diamond Jubilee in 2012.
Designed by Beryl Dean and made by 36 of her students at the Stanhope Institute taking over 6,000 hours of work.
White flannel covered with organza and decorated with gold, silver and copper thread appliqué and laid work. The design depicts churches in the Diocese of London, including St Paul's Cathedral.
