Description	Français : Les tramways au carré D'Youville, à Québec « Cette prise de vue de William Bertrand Edwards, datée du 11 avril 1944, bouscule des connaissances considérées jusqu’à présent comme acquises. Ainsi est-il faux de prétendre que l’édifice du YMCA a été amputé du quart de son volume en 1938 pour permettre un accès au Cinéma de Paris puisqu’on le voit encore intact avec ses trois fenêtres sur la gauche et ses quatre sur la droite de la mansarde. L’édifice derrière le «Y» sera remplacé en 1945 par le restaurant Laurentien. Les films à l’affiche du Capitol confirment la datation: «Lady in the Dark», avec Ginger Rogers sorti en 1944, et «Tarzan’s Desert Mystery», avec Johnny Weissmuller paru en 1943, sont tout à fait à la page. Les studios de CKCV logent depuis 1935 au grenier du Capitol. Comme aujourd’hui, le carré D’Youville est l’endroit où convergent tous les moyens de transport de la ville; étonnamment, les conducteurs de tramways à képi y sont plus nombreux que les militaires en permission! » – Doris Drolet, Société historique de Québec
