Another session of great valuewas the Public Service Conference, whichtook the place of the Western DevelopmentConference that was the leading feature oflast years convention and at which the sub-jects discussed ranged over the entire fieldof the public service in its personal andpolitical relations. Last, but not least, forthe first time in the history of the industrythe women guests of the convention weregiven a session all their own which provedquite a feature in itself and is due for regu-lar recognition from this time on as a partof the convention program. More than fiftywomen attended and displayed keen interestin the affairs of the association and in theelectrical industry as a whole. Text Appearing After Image: L. M. He sug-gested that representatives from each ofthese be present at the several conventions.This latter suggestion is along up-to-datelines and looks worthy of acceptance uponthe theory that in the public service there isa community of interest between the variousindustries engaged.
